This is a short story of a long night. A night where magic fills the spaces of reality, where the world splits between the real world and the spiritual world. This story will neither change the face of the world nor reverse the flow of history. But the story it tells the wisdom of both a murderer and an assassin.
“The mission is no longer on held” said the blind-folded man.
“I’m no longer surprised then. Stand before me the most wanted man on city. The man claimed to attempt murder on more than 50 lives of both commoners, criminals, and even aristocrat,” said the man up ahead the stacks of a box. Below him the blind-folded man bow to him.
“This night is no longer up held. I’ve my personal matter right away.” said the blind-folded man calmly as he pull up his pistol held underneath his jade cloak. As the silent night goes, sound of a shot breaks into the silence. Thus the night is no longer silent night.
The noon next day. A court is held. In a middle of the court room, the blind-folded man as the suspect hand tied in the back feet tied with a large iron ball. Wearing a somewhat tight criminal suit, his black long hair falls upon his back before being tied in the end. Giving a slight feminine looks for him.
“This is our suspect then. Our meek little suspect convicted for more than 50 lives added with more than 20 lives for the massacre last night. And even if you’re admitting your doing there is no way you’re escaping from the death sentence.” Said the Judge in his dense greyish armour.
“Thus it is a truth Milord. I am the sinner who’ve been killing of more than fifty lives of both the sinners and innocents. But to be added, I am more to kill the sinners.” said the blind-folded man.
“How come you said that. To the list of your victims, I’ve seen more to the aristocrat, politician, nobleman, and even confessor. You said that you’re killing no more than a sinner? How come a confessor is a sinner? A politician that has rule this town for you.”
“I can no see with this blind. Those who are confessor, nobleman, or commoners. All I see is sin and no sin. Thus a sin is not something to be seen with eyes.”
“So you’re pretending that you’re some kind of God I presume. To judge someone sinner or not, only God has the authority to do that. Without even being told.” The Judge continues.
“Your words are such a contradictory Milord. I’m no God, no more than a knight templar. Just another convicted murderer and assassin. But to know your words is no more than a contradictory, there is no need of God here. Thus the word of yours are no more than a subjective decision. I’m just another victim of those subjective code.” said the blind-folded man, still in a calm assertion.
“What contradictory? And what kind of subjective decision would this court be? This court and my words are the representatives of justice and truth. The court are to be made as the representatives to the Goddess of Justice along with the will of God.”
“O Milord, truly I’m no in tend to do any heresy. If you’re telling I’m a God to judge someone sinner or not. Then what difference separates me from the confessor? If you’re courting me for the deeds I have done by killing the sinners. Then the confessor should be the same. To judge someone a sinner or not by mere confession.”
“This court isn’t going anywhere. You have admitted your guilt of murders. The death sentence have been set, but before that you may pass your last words here right now.” conclude the Judge in an impatient manner.
“My last word shall bring no difference to this world. The world I feared to see, the murders that my eyes can’t take, so I folded my sight. To close my eyes and see this world of nothing more than a mistakes. But I’m willing my last words shall be sweet by the words of justice. I’m no more than a knight confessor. I’m a Judge like you in a different way.” still in a calm manner, the blind-folded man finish his last words.
The judge gave an unusual looks on the suspect. A looks of curiosity with his last words. Without any hesitations, the Judge’s spoke, “You said you’ve folded your sight because you feared this world. You’ve closed your eyes to live and attempt murders. What do you see beneath that fold then?”
The blind-folded man grins for the first time in the court room. Just a while his grins turn into somewhat a calm and gentle smile. He opens his lips to answer, “What I see? Why don’t you ask the Goddess of Justice you worship? I’ve done what she has done for the time being.”
Σ Grimoire of Insanity: part FOUR
“denger-denger ada yang bertanya-tanya kenapa saya bikin entri pakai bahasanya Pangeran Charles terus belakangan ini…”
Soalnya baru main FFT… benar? -_-
Salah satu intinya yang saya tangkap; I.am.Justice.
Inti lainnya mungkin pada dasarnya keadilan masih bisa dibeli. Entahlah.
Woh, bagus ^^
Cerita pendek tapi maknanya banyak. Awalnya aja, saya nggak terlalu ngerti, tapi akhirnya ngerti juga.
Well, keadilan di mata orang kan berbeda-beda.
Eh ketinggalan.
Mau kritik soal penulisannya. Lain kali, tambahkan koma ya. Banyak yang hilang.
Setuju sama bake. Jangan anti-gaya-tulisan-Hitler dong.
Kok entah kenapa saya jadi teringat dialog King Baldwin IV, Tiberias dan Guy de Lusignan saat Perang Salib di Yerusalem yah?
Salam hormat buat si buta.
